THE MISEDUCATION OF A LEGENDARY VOCALIST

| Posted in | Posted on Saturday, August 23, 2008

"It could all be so simple
But you'd rather make it hard
Loving you is like a battle
And we both end up with scars
Tell me, who I have to be
To get some reciprocity
No one loves you more than me
And no one ever will"

It's been 10 years since Lauryn Hill's solo LP dropped yet I still get goosebumps whenever I listen to this track. Lauryn Hill is the greatest. There I said it. Coming from a huge Mariah and MJB fan, that should give you an idea how much I love this artist. I've been a fan since she made it known that she plays with her enemies like a game of chess.

THE BEST LAURYN HILL LINE EVER

"No matter how I think we grow
You always seem to let me know
It ain't workin'"

Too bad she went bipolar.

- damn brother, me too (goosebumps).
- its crazy because there was a chick i had been dating to off and on for 6 years that once i actually paid attention to the lyrics and i mean really paid attention, i realised that was our relationship.
- i finally stopped chasing the girl and just let her go....damn. that shit hurt like hell to finally see she never wanted me in the first place....

- Question? do you see it as a selfish act for artists like Lauren to deprive the world of their talents? i mean i understand they have lives too. but sometimes i think of the greats, you know, Marvin, Al Green, etc. their talents have touched countless people over time. imagine if they had the 'fuck it' attitude like, imma keep my music to myself? idk just thinking...

Sorry to hear that but I'm glad my entry gave you goosebumps. Yes Castro.

To answer your question, no, it's not selfish of them. I seriously think that it's our doing why they end up like that. We take so much and expect more from them.

I'd flip out too if I was in their position.
