Hey Lebron!
I stopped being a Kobe hater for one day to WITNESS one of the greatest NBA players (happy CJM?) visit Manila.
It was such a hot day that I didn't even wait for Kobe at The Fort. I snapped some photos of the venue and left for PhilSports arena where he was scheduled to conduct a basketball clinic at 4pm.
I'm sure true Kobe fans will enjoy the photos and videos below.
The Fort
The set-up outside Nike Park High St.

Katipunan bound
Must be a Lebron fan
Lechon bound

Campers warming up
I don't know who this is
Crowd before 3pm (click to play)
I wanted to rock a Jordan jersey but I didn't want my son to disown me. Ha ha. A few more inches and he'd be as tall as me!
TJ, Sarah and Jinno
Here we go! (click to play)
Let the drills begin
Paparazzi shots featuring Tony
Miss Mae
Jinno, Sarah and Banjo
Raoul
Drills
One on one. Poor kid. Ha ha (click to play)
Group shots
Free autographed balls (click to play)
I want one!
More free balls (click to play)
Kobe's convoy? Prolly Ambassador Kristie Kenny's.
How was it?
I expected more. How are you gonna visit a country of 5'4" men and not dunk? Filipinos love that shit. Ha ha. I expected him to put on a show and he didn't. Seriously though. 1 hour? Keith Martin's SM Marilao show lasted longer. It was probably the long flight. Maybe the heat got to him?
I still remember his first visit (Adidas days? Please correct me if I'm wrong) when he had a fro and schooled some PBA players at the atrium of SM Megamall. That was the Kobe I wanted to see. I heard the Supernatural Tour in 2007 was also waaaaaaaay better.
It's all good though. Thanks to our friends from Nike my son and I got to spend some quality time together. We got to see one of the best NBA players in person! How cool is that?
Now that the Kobe fever is over...
Can I say Cavs 82-0?
Don't say I didn't warn you.
:D
Shout out to all the people who lit up my BlackBerry. Sorry I didn't get to go around and say hi. It was so hot I didn't even want to move. What up to the familiar faces I saw and also to the new ones who introduced themselves.
Now wasn't that fun?
