FENCING DAY

| Posted in | Posted on Friday, December 04, 2009

I accompanied my son to his first ever fencing tournament at PhilSports Arena. He was supposed to be only a reserve but ended up playing five games. His day ended with a win-loss record of 1-4. Two games he lost were close (final score of 5-4) and one game was against a kid that was as big as me. His one win was over one of the best kids in his age group. He may not have made it to the semi-finals but he still rocked. I'm very proud of him.

My son is awesome.

Age 13 and under. This kid looked like he was 23.

We arrived early. Waiting in the car enjoying mother nature.

Like what I said, we arrived early.

Let the games begin!

He almost beat this kid

And this one too

This kid was like six feet tall

This opponent massacred my son

My son won this match. Woo hoo!

My son's head gear fits me fine

I was sooo tired after the tourney that I slept the whole afternoon missing Miko's party and a get together with my best friend and another buddy.

It's all good though.

Nothing beats being with my son.
