If you were at Ronac Thursday afternoon for the Titan Air Jordan XI Playoff release and 2K13 Championship then you probably saw the Kobe 8 "Christmas" on my feet. I didn't mean to break your neck but they are pretty. Cop yourself a pair starting Wednesday, December 26!
Not a fan of lows? Maybe the other Nike "Christmas Day" kicks will tickle your fancy.

Friday before Christmas = death by HEAVY traffic. The world didn't end but the streets sure looked like a scene from the movie 2012.
After dropping Carla off at the airport (sorry you almost missed your flight!) I headed to M Cafe for dinner with Jen. She's saying goodbye to Converse Philippines soon and I wanted to say thank you one last time for all that she's done for me, this site and #NT.
She looks mean here but she'll entertain you with her most random stories.

"'Twas a long time ago, longer now than it seems,
In a place that perhaps you've seen in your dreams;
For the story that you are about to be told
Took place in the holiday worlds of old.
Now you've probably wondered where holidays come from.
If you haven't, I'd say it's time you begun."
I was shopping for a pair of leather brogues when I tweeted this more than a week ago. To my surprise, I saw the adidas D Rose 3 "Nightmare" already for sale at the department store of SM North EDSA.

TSFKAB (The Space Formerly Known As Bunker) was transformed into a pop-up store for we Legendary's Thank You Sale. I wanted to get there early but I totally missed where it said 10am on the flyer. #facepalm
I still went, arrived after lunch and saw people come throughout the afternoon until closing time. That's we Legendary for you. Pulling crowds no matter where they set up shop!
2012's biggest surprise in terms of popularity among runners and collectors, the Nike Roshe Run, gets a premium treatment with an interesting mix of herringbone, suede and canvas uppers. Yup, beautiful, made even more beautiful.
Grab a pair or two starting Saturday, December 8, exclusively at Sole Academy!
Nike Roshe Run Premium NRG (khaki/khaki-sail-black tea) - 3,995 pesos. Sizes 7.5 to 13 including half sizes. (no 12.5)

If you're an 80's baby like me then it's most likely that you have heard of the the Italian brand Ellesse. (pronounced L.S., the initials of Lenoardo Servardio, founder of Ellesse)
It's one of those European brands, along with Lacoste, that I always saw in my parents' and siblings' closets. My parents were into tennis while my brothers and I were fans of F1's Alain Prost, both associated with Ellesse. It has also been part of the hip-hop culture the past several decades with the classic tracksuits and apparel being rocked by rappers (as seen recently on Kreayshawn). The bright colors and unique styles appealed to me then and still appeals to me now.
Ellese has been around for over 50 years and the brand is making noise once again with its latest collaboration with some of the most popular sneaker stores in today's scene. Old-school mixed with new-school. Me likey.
That was one helluva night! Cool peeps, great food, cold drinks and dope music that went on the entire night. Definitely one of my favs this year. Check out what you missed and don't forget to swing by Titan for your Jason Markk x Titan kit!

I love clothes as much as I love shoes. I go through phases of wearing favorite pieces over and over again until I get sick of them. I often say IDGAF (I don't give a fashion, I really don't) because I often stick to the same style. Mine.
I know I'm not the only one who matches their apparel with their shoes. Now, Converse Philippines got you covered from head to toe with its holiday 2012 collection.
DUN DUN DUN! Titan and Sole Movement join forces with Jason Markk to bring you a must have. Whether you're a collector (peep the special box, label and brush) or simply want another bottle to clean your shoes, this kit is for you. Don't forget to also cop the limited edition Jason Markk x Titan tee!
It's B-Roc's (Turbulence/Soul Fiesta) birthday and he's treating you all to some dope shit with the release of his instrumental album entitled "This Is Your Captain Speaking." I listened to it twice and I must say I'm thoroughly impressed. You can download it HERE.

After Titan 2 Parkade, the girls (Christel, Mitch, Carolyne and Anikka) and I went to Time on Makati Avenue for the adidas Originals Laced Up event. We got our bands and proceeded to the rooftop to check out Mike Cons and Badkiss do their thing. We danced, we drank, we slapped some ass then went down to the ground floor where Tony Touch, Apollo, Vinroc and Shortkut rocked the house.

My Sunday was a struggle until I made it to Rocket Room for Sun-Dazed. Everything felt better after a few cold brewskies, a dope set by DJ Teaze (I missed JoeyTooFresh's set) and kicking it with awesome folks.
So next time your Sunday is a blah you already know where to go. Just look for these two cool hosts of The Powder Room and you'll be alright. Who knows? You might even go home with a free pair of Gourmet Footwear.

Just chilling! Oh, and DJ Teaze will also be playing. Woot! Brought to you by the beautiful ladies behind The Powder Room (Erica and Margaux) and Gourmet Footwear.

Long before this site existed, I was already promoting sneaker stores worldwide through niketalk.com by posting photos, compiling city sneaker guides plus store updates here and overseas. One of the spots I always visit whenever I'm in Hong Kong is my buddy Billy's store Da Hood. What started out as a lone store in Causeway Bay and my favorite on Chatham Road soon branched out into several shops on Fa Yuen St. (Sneaker Street) and one in Shanghai, China. He's even opened his own adidas, Converse and Vans stores in Mongkok. To say that he has set-up the framework for the sneaker scene in Hong Kong is an accurate description of what he has done in the past 10 years.
On Tuesday, he will turn it up a notch again by hosting Supra and its skate team for an autograph signing at Da Hood (102 Fa Yuen St.) plus a team demo and game of skate competition at Mei Foo Skate Park on Wednesday. (Mei Foo Station by the Tsuen Wan Line)
Remember when you pretended to be a we Legendary customer a few years ago and kicked it at the Kamuning store for a couple of hours studying the Nike SB business, asking questions and trying to get my consultation services for free? Well, I do. I knew who you were (I just pretended I didn't) and why you were there but I remained courteous and answered every single query you had even though you didn't buy anything.
Now I see this? That's you wearing a white tee behind the bouncer, isn't it?
I don't know what your beef is with VJ Chua but this is unacceptable. I don't know him personally but I know he does some of the videos for we Legendary and other skateshops/brands. How are you gonna take his media pass away and kick him out (even after he explained he was there for Blunt Magazine) for wearing a we Legendary tee? What do you have against the store that you patterned yours after?
I'd say your an asshole but I'll let my readers be the judge.
Good luck with everything. You're gonna need it after this thing goes viral.

Lhen Ogilvy asking for my shoe size.
Then Maricar Ogilvy texting to let me know that there's a pair in transit.
I didn't know what it was until I saw this HUGE box sitting on my couch earlier this week. Christmas came early again this year. Thanks Nike Philippines! Thanks Ogilvy!
Presenting the Lebron X + "Pressure" Sport Pack, just in time for the new NBA season.
Some people talk the talk, while others listen to someone talk hoping to be inspired and maybe sneak in a photograph/autograph. Now most of the folks below? They walk the walk then they go the extra mile and walk the walk some more. All for the sake of having good fun. None of that ningas cogon effect, boy.
This is how things are done. THIS IS WE LEGENDARY. And this is what went down on Halloween night.
I hinted twice HERE but I guess most of you missed it. Don't worry, you'll get a another chance to purchase these babies starting Saturday. 1 Janoski, 2 Janoski, 3 Janoski... Court. AH AH AH AH AH!

It was Thursday afternoon (Manila time) when I found out that Complex Magazine was gonna release a list of "The 25 Most Influential #NT Members." I said that should be easy and wrote down my own list of 25. Before I knew it, I already had close to 50 names on my list. I could have kept going but I didn't because there was no way I could have come up with a "correct list" knowing how Niketalk has tens of thousands of members since its inception in December 1999.

Sole Slam

Saturday, October 20, 2012
Twice a year sneaker aficionados set their egos aside and get together to showcase their wares (and wears) at the only sneaker collector convention in the country founded by Antonio Aguirre, Jr. What started out as a small group has grown into a bona fide avenue for almost everyone in the scene to exhibit and share what they have while having fun. (which to me is the most important thing)
I know I raise a lot of eyebrows whenever I feature Sole Slam on my site but you know what? The joke is on all the haters who thought they could divide the sneaker community by using this event for their own benefit and making it seem like they are better than the next collector. I deal with one person and one person only and so far we both agree that there's only one direction that we should all take.

adidas Philippines drops the latest D Rose 3 in a sick, sick colorway inspired by the black and neon uniform of the Chicago Fire Department. Definitely another interesting pair to add to your collection.
adidas D Rose 3 (electricity/metalsilver) - 8,995 pesos.
"The upper is made of rubberized, heavy duty synthetic materials to resemble the strong, protective feel and function of a firefighter’s turnout coat. The three stripes on the back and outsole of the shoe are grey to represent the color of knee and elbow pads on turnout coats and coveralls. The stripes on the back are also reflective material similar to turnout gear, while the black SPRINTFRAME has a smooth, clean finish to signify rubber fire boots. The inside of the left tongue features the universal cross symbol of firefighters with the D Rose logo in the middle, and the right shoe features a lasered signature of Derrick Rose."
Limited pairs are now available at adidas stores (Rockwell, SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, Greenbelt 3, Trinoma, Robinsons Pampanga), Titan and Hoopsville.
