Growing up, I must have gone through dozens of pairs of classic runners. Back then it was tough to find such pairs as the availability locally was limited. After sports companies realized how much money they can make by mass producing the said classics (using cheap materials) and flooding the market with every colorway they can think of I kinda lost interest in them. The only time I mess with them again is when they go back to the original silhouette/pattern/materials and drop them in limited numbers. Umh, like now!
Quezon City sneaker boutique Sole Academy will exclusively release three limited Nike classic runners tomorrow, 1pm.
What's so special about these? They were made to look exactly like the first drop decades ago. Vintage treatment and all.

For a westernized country like the Philippines I am surprised that there is little talk about an anti-piracy bill that is currently working its way through US Congress. It's called "The Stop Online Piracy Act," also known as US House Bill 3261.
Most of you will probably say, "I live outside the USA" or "I don't see why I should bother knowing about it" or "Hey as long as it doesn't mess with facebook then I'm good."
Fact is, if passed, SOPA will completely change our digital lives. It will affect EVERYTHING you do online. From the music and videos you download to search engine results. Facebook will be limited, youtube will be restricted, Google will heavily be filtered, etc. About every single site that you visit daily will be altered. Yup, INCLUDING THIS ONE.
I, for one, is against piracy. I buy a CD if I really like the artist and go watch movies that interest me (which I haven't done in a while since I don't have a steady movie date * COUGH COUGH *). Why am I against SOPA? Simple. SOPA isn't only about stopping piracy. It's web censorship. Pure manipulation of content. The Internet gone backwards.
This is a VERY URGENT matter that if we disregard now, we will definitely pay for it dearly later.
Usually I'd link you to other sites discussing this topic but try searching and let me know how many sites you encounter are blacked out. That's how things will be in the future if SOPA pushes through.
Fight SOPA and protect the Internet as we know it.
Today I witnessed the best game ever. 4 touchdowns (4 lead changes), 2 by each team, in the last 4 minutes with my 49ers winning it in the last 9 seconds to end the Saints' season. Where's your Breesus now?
I support every single effort to pimp my country's tourism trade even if it means going with the highly-criticized new campaign of the Department of Tourism. It may be unoriginal to some but at least there is truth to it. I'm not only talking about tourist destinations. Fun in the Philippines covers everything. Even this.

One of the few yearly sneaker releases I look forward to is the "Year of the..." series. What started out as a special Air Force 1 release in 2002 (Year of the Horse) has become a platform for Nike to welcome the Chinese New Year with the launch of limited edition sneakers inspired by the coming year's zodiac animal. For 2012, Nike drops 4 different styles as part of the "Year of The Dragon" collection - AIR FORCE 1 LOW SUPREME, AIR JORDAN 2012, NIKE KOBE VII SYSTEM SUPREME and NIKE ZOOM KD IV. As always, I'll limit myself to the classics and stick with these beauties. Hopefully the sticker price won't be that much.

The last time I was in we Legendary Ronac Mark told a story of a kid who came in the store the night before and exhibited something that most kids, even many adults, do not have... good taste in sneakers. When asked how he knew all these things he said, "Oh, I visit kingcrux31.com." Later that day I met him, his younger brother and the dad.
Carbon fiber uppers, 4-layer insole, high-performance sock liner plus The Load ‘N Launch™ technology that will instantly increase your vertical jump? I'm sold!
