I also predicted the 1990 Luzon earthquake. I was in class when the teacher called me out for being noisy. I was so upset I drew a map of the Philippines, circled Luzon a couple of times then told some of my classmates that a strong earthquake would strike in a few hours. It happened later that day right when I was dropped off by the school carpool service. You should've seen the look on my classmates' faces when school resumed.

I got an invitation from our friends at adidas Philippines to check out the new adidas store in Lucky Chinatown Mall in Manila for the mall's grand opening and boy was it grand. The whole place was packed with VIPs, store owners, celebrities and well-known individuals in the Chinese community. Even the President of the Philippines made a cameo!

I did something hella random last night. I went to see a Dutch female artist visiting Manila go nude for a cause! At first I wasn't really planning to go because of lack of sleep but when Cecile (chuvaness.com) tweeted that she was going I was like eff it I might as well. I haven't seen Cecile since late 2010 and TINKEBELL is cute so it was like hitting two birds with one stone.

Even though I was meeting Cecile at the venue (Carlos Celdran's cozy pad in Manila) I didn't want to go by myself so I invited three women to roll with me and they all said no, lol. @Mia899 found it weird and got a massage instead, @AnjP was depressed and wished she was partying it up at Excess, and @isabelgatuslao went to bed early.

It's all gravy, though. I was gonna see a butt nekked white woman so booo you three! (sike)

I got to Malate early so I waited for Cecile in the car. I wonder if this establishment has a meth lab inside. #BrBa

San Francisco 49ers NFL domination starts today with a preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings. I don't see my team losing more than 3 games in the regular season.

I braved the crazy downpour yesterday to visit our friends at Converse Philippines and went home with these sweet kicks.

I am proud to be a *Jamaican. 

If you missed it earlier Jamaica and Puma's Usain Bolt smoked his opponents in the 100-meter dash and broke the Olympic record with a blazing time of 9.63 seconds to take the gold medal. This contest has been my Olympic favorite growing up. I still remember when Ben Johnson won (then later stripped of his medal) in 1988. I dragged my brother outside with a timer and tried to emulate him. I think I clocked in at 30 seconds midway and just gave up, lol. The speed these athletes go never ceases to amaze me.

Today was no different.

I got a text from Raoul (Titan) Friday that made my week. I headed to Burgos Circle after dinner and swooped up the Air Jordan IV white/varsity red-black. Jordan Brand finally got it right 23 years after these were first released. Still no Nike Air on the back but I'm glad I won't have to look at Spike Lee's face every time I put these on.

Two weeks ago, The Ultimate Online Sneaker Community bid adieu to Yuku and finally moved to a new and better platform. (no more slow page loads, unwanted time travel and double/triple/quadruple posts)
