LIFT YOU HIGHER

One Sunday afternoon, about 20 years ago, I dragged my family from Quezon City to Greenhills to look for a pair of Nike Air Up in the white/blue/black colorway seen below. Believe it or not, Greenhills was THE spot to go to for the latest Nike footwear back in the day. Not fakes, but authentics flown in from overseas and sold in "PX" stores. Unfortunately, what I wanted was sold out everywhere so we ended up going to SM Megamall where we found the Scottie Pippen version in white/silver with the number 33 on the back. I wasn't really keen on the colorway but I was madly in love with the shoes so I went home happy. (90's = golden age of Nike basketball kicks)

Nike blesses with us the first retro of the year worth spending your money on. After 20 years, the Nike Air Up is back! Don't sleep on this underrated release. Now available at all Titan shops. (check out these beauties posted by sneakerdave 4 weeks ago)

You know what else turns 20? The basketball comedy film "The Air Up There."
