And my parents will get to see it live on the big screen
I got them the tickets because my dad is a big boxing fan but he's too frugal to watch pay-per-view. He'd rather wait until several hours later to watch the fight on free tv with 5 minute-long commercial breaks in between rounds.

So I went downstairs, saw my mom and asked where my dad was. She said he went out so I handed her the tickets which I placed in a nice plastic sleeve and said "Merry Christmas!" Turns out, my dad already bought tickets for the fight.
I'm such a failure
