Picked up something from wL last night and hung around for a bit. It was great chatting with sensible peeps about today's scene. We all agreed that a lot of people got the wrong idea on how this thing works. They think that just because they have the money to open shop doesn't mean that it'll do well. The same goes for everything else. It's a shame how everybody and their mommas is now starting a clothing line and putting up a "street" store with no solid foundation. Having money and Internet with all your favorite links bookmarked don't count. There's so much more that goes down behind the scene. Stuff you won't find by using Google. I know everybody has to start from somewhere but if you're trying to buy your way into this subculture with your mediocre shit, then let me tell you this - Save your money and do something else. Maybe something related to your degree. Don't come to me with that bullshit that you have a degree in Business Management because I will bet my life on it that you didn't even bother to come up with a business plan or a feasibility study before you put your shit out. Also, adding the brand logos on your poster or store entrance won't help if you don't have the actual accounts. You can get in legal trouble for that. If the brands themselves are feeling the pinch, then... Ah forget it. Go ahead and do whatever you want. Just don't say I didn't warn you. Okay?
Bullet proof
Next time you visit Mark's store, think twice before talking out of your ass looking to be the next player in the industry. That way, I can blog about lighter things and refrain from shaking my head for one day.
Ya dig?
LOL Who were the dudes you were airing out???
Dude, some of the ideas were great and everything, but cmon you sound like a total DOUCHE!! Well, in all your entries. I guess that's just how you talk hahaha I thought you liked How to Make it in America? Did the guys have a business plan? C'mon. Stop hating. People are coming out wit this "shit" within a very small community. Why hinder them? I dunno if i misunderstood you or something. But yeah... douche.
Why are you so butthurt? Instead of calling me names you could've at least provided something that would disprove the FACTS I posted.
Do you even know the story behind the entry? Some kid visited the store, started asking around and acted like he was the next big thing. He even threatened to open shop right across the street. Like seriously?
So what if I like a certain tv show? That doesn't mean that I view life the same way. I watch The Sopranos on DVD. Does that make me a gangster?
I'm hating because I pointed out the importance of a business plan? Maybe you should go through the entry again. I've been around long enough to know that 99% of these stores will close shop in a few years. You need to understand that there's more to this business than buying, adding %, fronting then reselling.
If you haven't noticed it yet, this blog is a personal one which means I post more from experiences rather than stupid aspirations or stuff I see on other blogs.
I'm not hindering anybody from doing anything. Just stop pretending to be something or someone you're not.
I hate to say this but most rich Filipino kids nowadays make everything corny hella fast. Word to Supra in the Philippines.
WTF How is Crux hating? He's asking these folks to wake up and smell the coffee. It ain't as easy as 1, 2, 3 and people need to know and realize that unless they'd like to be another statistic.
Kids these days. If you're not agreeing with someone or hyping up the newest thing you're a douche and hating.
