One of the shoes that I have always wanted but never had are in the screen cap below from a movie released in 1995.
Here's a blast from the past Nike Football commercial featuring legendary San Diego Chargers linebacker Junior Seau. Check out what's on his feet. "That's Junior Seau's footprint, man!" Oh, Denis Hopper. (R.I.P. to both)
I completely lost my mind when The Shoe Game first posted a photo last year. Nike was finally retroing one of my favorite Nike football kicks ever! (Nike Air Veer and Nike Air Diamond Turf are up there)
The first colorway dropped December 2013 which was followed by more colorways early 2014. I held back from purchasing a pair at retail because I knew that even though it was Nike's first time retroing them since they originally released 20 years ago, they were likely to be outlet bound.
Citygear.com had a 50% off clearance items last July so I ordered a pair of the Junior Seau colorway for only $38.33 shipped to WA. Unfortunately, my order was canceled with no explanation and I received a Paypal refund a few days later. Finishline.com and a number of Nike Factory Outlets across the USA had similar deals on both colorways (Junior and the one below) but I missed out on all of them.
Fast forward to September and I finally got lucky on another City Gear 50% off clearance deal. I woke up in the middle of the night, read an IG post about the sale, saw only 8.5 and 10.5 were available and quickly pulled the trigger on the last pair in my size. $54 shipped to CA? Not bad. Now, these BAD BOYS are FINALLY home thanks to a we Legendary assist!
Man, I can't wait to rock these with my San Francisco 49ers gear.
For 10 years I begged Nike to retro them and finally, the LONG wait is over. Nike Air Mission. On my feet. F*CK YEAH!
Now only if my team can get their shit together and start winning games.
